Ram Trucks Australia Recall 137 pickup trucks From its 1500, 2500 and 3500 Due to airbag failure, the vehicle model wiring failed.
“Due to a manufacturing defect, the steering column control module (SCCM) may not be welded to required specifications,” the automaker said in the recall notice.
“As a result, the SCCM may not be able to send an air bag deployment signal to the occupant restraint controller, thereby preventing the driver air bag from deploying.
“In the event of an accident, failure of the airbag to deploy as expected may increase the risk of injury or even death to those in the vehicle.”
