- A Range Rover owner couldn’t help but lose his temper when he was stuck in traffic.
- As they angrily gestured to the other driver, they lost control of the vehicle and caused a serious crash.
- At first, he lied to the police, but the entire process was captured on Tesla’s dashcam.
Driving in a traffic jam can be stressful, but it’s something most of us have to do on a regular basis. Keeping your emotions in check during drives like this is a key factor in getting to your destination safely. One Range Rover owner learned this the hard way after a split-second crash.
Video footage from the Tesla Model S involved in the accident shows the Range Rover driver driving aggressively. He tailgated multiple cars, changed lanes abruptly and didn’t use turn signals. At one point, he became upset with a Volvo SUV parked in the left lane.

As the Range Rover driver passed the Volvo in the second lane, he slammed into the Volvo driver and nearly hit the Tesla in the third lane, recording the incident. But he appeared to lose control quickly, and moments later he hit a Honda in the second lane and then the front of the Tesla in the third lane.
The forward-facing video from the Model S shows the Range Rover almost completely rolled over, but after a brief stop on the driver’s side, it landed back on the ground. All airbags were deployed, and the wreckage of the accident vehicle was scattered on the road. According to the Wham Baam Teslacam YouTube video, the Range Rover driver initially lied to the police.
Apparently, he told the police that the Volvo hit him and then fled. It wasn’t until the Tesla owner retrieved the footage that they confirmed what had happened. Ultimately, this accident reminds us of a few important things. First, stay calm and polite on the road. This outcome is not worth it for anyone.
Secondly, don’t forget that dash cams (whether aftermarket or integrated) are extremely useful. If someone is involved in an accident and the other driver denies it was their fault, as was the case here, having video to prove exactly what happened will help clear the air with the police and insurance company.
