Recall: Porsche 911, Cayman and Spyder wheels may come off

November 6, 2024 — Nearly 2,200 Porsche vehicles should remain parked until repairs are completed because wheels may come off.

• 2024 Porsche 911

• 2024 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS

• 2024 Porsche 718 Spyder RS

According to the Porsche recall, center-lock wheel bolts may break and cause the wheel to fall off.

Porsche has not yet determined the root cause of the problem, but from September to October it discovered multiple cases of center locks breaking.

Engineers believe the affected parts came from a batch of substandard parts.

About 330 Porsche vehicles are being recalled in Canada.

Again, do not drive the vehicle until it is repaired.

Porsche recall letters are expected to be mailed out on December 27, 2024, and dealers will inspect the center-lock wheel tightening system and replace any problematic parts.
