This mass-produced Dacia Bigster three-row SUV will make its world premiere at the 2024 Paris Motor Show, which will be held from October 14 to 20. After the arrival of the 7-seater Renault Duster or Renault Bigster in India, the same model will also come to India. New generation 5-seater Duster next year. The teaser shows the rear profile of the SUV, which features Y-shaped taillights similar to the concept car.
Most of its design elements are expected to remain from the concept car, including the wide, slim grille with lighting elements, Y-shaped headlights, larger lower air dam with extensive cladding at the bottom, two side vents and a heavily creased hood. The Bigster concept also features pronounced fenders, short front and large rear overhangs, trapezoidal wheel arches and high ground clearance.
The Dacia Bigster (7-seater Renault Duster) is approximately 4.6 meters long and will be based on the CMF-B platform and shares several components with the new generation Duster (5-seater). Dacia says its upcoming SUV will use recycled and unpainted materials inside and out.
The SUV’s engine specifications are still under wraps. Globally, the Bigster SUV will be available in petrol and petrol-hybrid powertrain options. In India, the 7-seater Renault Duster is likely to be available with two turbo-petrol engines – 1.2-litre and 1.6-litre. Both 4X2 and 4X4 drivetrain setups are available. The three-row SUV will have multiple terrain modes – Eco, Auto, Mud/Sand, Snow and Off-Road.
The new Renault Bigster will compete with the Hyundai Alcazar, Mahindra XUV700 and Tata Safari. Upcoming 7-seater SUVs from Maruti Suzuki and Toyota will also compete with the new Duster. More details about the product will be announced in the coming days. Stay tuned to India Automotive News.
