Global demand for electric vehicles (EVs) cooled last year, especially for high-end EVs.
However, that’s not the case at Rolls-Royce, with the BMW-owned luxury brand reporting strong demand for its first and only electric car ghostleading to another debut this year.

Although Rolls-Royce failed to break the sales record of 6,032 units set in 2023 in 2024 (5,712 units sold), the new Specter became its second-best-selling model, behind the Cullinan SUV.
In Australia, Rolls-Royce sold 19 Specters, 25 Cullinans and 10 Phantom/Ghost sedans (both models are combined in the VFACTS sales report).
The Specter is the British brand’s first and so far only all-electric model, joining the twin-turbo V12-powered Cullinan, Phantom and Ghost.
However, it’s unclear what form the new Rolls-Royce electric car will take. automotive news Presumably it will be an SUV, which is logical given the continued high demand for high-performance vehicles.

Powered by twin electric motors with up to 430kW and 900Nm, the Specter can accelerate the approximately 3000kg two-door from 0 to 100km/h in 4.5 seconds.
A massive 102kWh lithium-ion battery pack forms part of the Specter’s structure and helps achieve a range of up to 530 kilometers on the WLTP laboratory test cycle.
Rolls-Royce has previously stated that its customers drive an average of just 5,100 kilometers per year.
The British brand plans to sell only electric cars from 2030, five years before Europe and the UK ban the sale of new petrol and diesel cars.
