Royal Enfield debuted the Classic 650 twins last year at the 2024 EICMA show. The company has just launched the Classic 650 for Rs 337 crore (EX-SH). It looks almost similar to the bestseller Classic 350, but has a larger proportion, fitting its displacement category and price segment.
Royal Enfield Classic 650 Launch
Royal Enfield has launched 650 twins (Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650) to open an account on the multi-cylinder motorcycle portal. Since then, Royal Enfield has steadily expanded their 650cc roster to beat the Super Meteor 650, shotgun 650 and Interceptor 650.

Now, Royal Enfield’s latest 650cc bike is the Classic 650, which has the potential of the best-selling 500cc+ motorcycle. If the Classic 350 sales are to be made, we can expect the Classic 650 to have a significant impact on the mid-heavyweight segment. The color palette of the Classic 650 includes Vallam Red (RS 3.37L), Bruntingthorpe Blue (3.37L), Teal (3.41L), and Black Chrome (3.5L) (all prices EX-SH).

For many, the Classic 650 is a stepping stone for Royal Enfield’s own 350cc motorcycle. It’s probably the Classic 350. In terms of design, the Classic 650 looks similar to the Classic 350, only larger. This is a good thing because this classic design has been tested by time and is difficult to stand out from the next few years.

Classic design ftw?
We get the classic teardrop fuel tank, round ORVM, round LED headlights, retro mud covers at both ends, fork covers, large analog digital instrument cluster with Tripper screen, and a main frame, subframe and Swingarm 650 with Super Meteor 650. All of these metals ensures a Curb weight of 243 KG, making the classic 650 kg the highest royal Enf Field Field.

This motorcycle rides on the 19-inch front and 18-inch rear wire cover wheels and gets an RSU telescope fork and dual impact absorber at the rear. There are disc brakes on both ends and we have dual-channel ABS as standard. We can expect the classic 650 to offer relaxing ergonomics and comfortable riding.

In terms of powertrain, we get the familiar 648cc parallel dual oil cooling engine capable of producing 46.4 bhp of peak power and 52.3 nm of peak torque. The engine works with the skateboard and helps the clutch with a 6-speed transmission. With the classic label, we can expect it to have comfortable suspension and loose riding.
