San Jose Convention Center(San Jose Convention Center) commonly referred to as the San Jose Convention Center is a convention center located in San Jose, California, United States. It is named after former San Jose Mayor Tom McNally. The San Jose Convention Center opened in 1989, replacing the city-state’s convention hall of the same name (then known as the Civic Auditorium). The South Hall opened in 2005, and the Main Hall was renovated and expanded in 2013. The San Jose team manages the convention center as well as several nearby event centers.
The South Hall is a steel-framed fabric structure that adds 80,000 square feet (7,400 square meters) of exhibition space to a total of 225,000 square feet (22,800 square meters). It can accommodate 11,428 people, or 5,333 people for exhibitions. It is surrounded by public parking and covers an area of 191,668 square feet (17,806.5 square meters).
