Seventa event brings local vendors together for Christmas

With collaboration at the heart of planning, Seventa Events, Cambridge Dining Co., Evolution Dome and more than 19 local and independent businesses came together on December 11, 2024 to host an end-of-year celebration for 3,000 employees of a leading technology provider .

Simon Brooks, founder of Seventa Events, explained: “The client’s community-driven ethos runs deep and keeping the event as close to home was important to all involved. The client wanted to keep the event as local to Cambridge as possible Our next step is to figure out how far we can take this concept.”

In order to reduce the impact on the local environment and residents, Seventa Events decided to use its Cambridge Christmas venue as the basis for the event. By working within the existing space, they reduced overall build time, resource usage, and potential disruption to the area.

Simon Day, founder of Cambridge Catering, added: “Almost everyone involved is local to Cambridge, so we work on a scale that isn’t always feasible for us personally. From the fresh food to the crew, Every supplier we work with brings that Cambridge spark; the unity helps us create something great and I think it shows in the final experience.”

In addition to the venue’s existing facilities and ice rink, Evolution Dome also provides a Fluid Scarab and 24m Dome to accommodate entertainment including discotheques and live bands. Evolution Dome was able to deliver a turnkey solution within 16 hours, including over 14,000 square feet of structure, flooring, carpeting, lighting and heating, bringing Seventa closer to its goal of hosting with minimal site disruption while embodying a festive atmosphere A low-impact event carried the theme through its igloo-shaped design.
