- Skoda has revealed that the interior of the upcoming Elroq EV will feature a variety of eco-friendly materials.
- The model will be available in four design themes, including one that blends Recytitan and Technofil.
- This means that the model’s interior could be made from recycled water bottles, old fishing nets or old clothing.
Skoda has been teasing the Elroq for over a year now, but we’ve finally got to see its interior. Sadly, the company isn’t revealing too much as they’re focusing on eco-friendly materials.
var adpushup = window.adpushup = window.adpushup || {que:()}; adpushup.que.push(function() { if (adpushup.config.platform !== “DESKTOP”){ adpushup.triggerAd(“4d84e4c9 -9937-4f84-82c0-c94544ee6f2a”); } else{ adpushup.triggerAd(“6a782b01-facb-45f3-a88f-ddf1b1f97657”); } });
As such, Skoda has confirmed that the crossover will be available in four different interior themes, namely Loft, Lodge, Suite and Studio. The Loft is notable for its use of Recytitan, a material made from 78% recycled PET. The model will also be the first Skoda to feature “recycled post-consumer clothing” that has been processed into high-quality yarn and fabric.

The automaker said Recytitan will be used in seat covers, door panels, dashboards, armrests and knee pads, adding that the material offers “the perfect balance of comfort, durability and sustainability”.

As for the exterior, Skoda says the Loft will be upholstered in dark grey-blue fabric as well as dark faux leather. They will be joined together by reflective yellow contrast stitching.
Lodge’s design theme is also eco-friendly, but it uses a material called Technofil, which is made of polyester and recycled Econyl yarn, which is made of nylon obtained from fishing nets, fabric scraps and carpets.
Here, customers will find black fabric contrasted with light grey faux leather. Lodge models also feature orange stitching and orange seatbelts.
Skoda didn’t reveal much about the interior, but said the cabin will feature a modern, three-dimensional design that offers “simplicity, spaciousness and clean lines.” That’s not much to say, but the teaser sketch suggests the model will feature a standalone infotainment system, ambient lighting and a minimalist center console. We can also see slim air vents and what looks like a digital instrument cluster.
Skoda previously announced that the Elroq will be based on the MEB platform and will be available with four different powertrains. The entry-level model is equipped with a 55 kWh battery pack and a rear motor that produces 168 hp (125 kW / 170 PS). On the other hand is a dual-motor all-wheel drive model with an 82 kWh battery and a total output of 295 hp (220 kW / 299 PS). This will enable the model to reach a speed of 112 mph (180 km/h) under WLTP and travel more than 348 miles (560 kilometers).
