
Skoda Auto will drive in India’s first power product in September 2025. The information comes from Skoda India’s brand director Petr Janeba, in a recent interview with online media publications. However, the name and details of the first Skoda electric car are still under the wrap. Earlier Skoda Enyaq IV The plan is the brand’s first electric car in India, and BIT launches BIT. Recently, this electric SUV was exhibited alongside the Skoda Elroq EV at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Fair.
Janeba further revealed that the company is currently considering three options: Elroq, Enyaq and Enyaq Coupe EVS, all of which are designed on the MEB platform. The final decision will make its debut at Skoda’s first electric vehicle in India after announcing the government’s electric vehicle policy by March 2025. India is expected to increase revenue from automakers in its existing facilities.

Skoda Elroq
The Elroq Electric SUV has Skoda’s “modern solid” design language and supports the Volkswagen Group’s MEB architecture. It is 4.49 meters in length and comes with three battery options: 52kWh, 59kWh and 77kWh. The 52KWH battery pack with a rear mounted motor with a 170bhp enjoys a range of 370km (WLTP), while the electric ranges for the 59kWh and 77kWh battery versions exceed 385km and 560km respectively. The automaker says the ELROQ (in higher spec version) can perform 0 to 100kmph in 6.6 seconds and achieve a top speed of 180 km/h.
Skoda Enyaq/Enyaq Coupe
The Skoda Enyaq SUV and Coupe SUV have recently received midlife updates in the global market. The ENYAQ SUV is equipped with a 77KWH battery pack that can provide a range of up to 562 kilometers on one charge. The refurbished Enyaq Coupe-SUV promises a range of up to 597 km, higher than before. Both lower variants of the electric vehicle use smaller 59kWh batteries, offering a range of 431 km and 439 km, respectively.
