Skoda Kushaq facelift will be equipped with ADAS and other new features
Skoda has begun testing the facelifted Kushaq, and recent spy shots have given us a glimpse at the changes the facelifted model could bring. The test mules are heavily camouflaged at the front and rear, suggesting these areas will receive the most significant updates.
Appearance Update
One of the highlights of the new Skoda Kushaq facelift is the inclusion of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Visible sensors on the air dam hint at this major tech upgrade. Other expected changes include a redesigned grille, tweaked projector headlamps, updated front and rear bumpers and a redesigned tailgate. Additionally, the facelifted model is likely to feature new alloy wheels to further differentiate it from the outgoing model.
Internal improvements
Coming to the interior, the facelifted Kushaq is expected to feature new interiors and may come with ventilated seats for better comfort. The current version already comes with features like a power sunroof, a fully digital colour instrument cluster, auto-dimming IRVM, a two-spoke steering wheel and a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
Powertrain and performance
The Kushaq facelift is likely to retain its existing powertrain options with 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre TSI petrol engines. These engines are currently mated to six-speed manual, six-speed torque converter automatic and seven-speed DSG gearboxes. However, the six-speed manual gearbox that was previously discontinued on the 1.5 TSI model is likely to be reintroduced with this update.
Expected release
The facelifted Kushaq is expected to debut in the second half of 2025, entering a highly competitive segment where its rivals include the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Volkswagen Taigun, etc. More details are likely to emerge as testing continues and Skoda provides official information.
The inclusion of ADAS and other updates could further strengthen Kushaq’s position in the Indian SUV market, offering high-tech features and a fresh design to potential buyers.
