Skoda Kylaq is the latest small SUV launched in India by the Czech carmaker. The automaker has revealed its Variant detailsfeatures and pricing, with deliveries expected to begin on January 27, 2024. Test drives are also likely to begin at the end of next month. The model is now available for pre-order and has received 10,000 orders so far. The Kylaq model range includes four variants: Classic, Signature, Signature+ and Prestige, all powered by a 115bhp, 1.0L turbo petrol engine. Manual and automatic transmissions are available.
The petrol manual Classic, Signature, Signature+ and Prestige variants are priced at Rs 7.89 lakh, Rs 9.59 lakh, Rs 11.40 lakh and Rs 13.35 lakh respectively. Buyers can choose the automatic transmission in three trims – Signature, Signature+ and Prestige – priced at Rs 10.59 lakh, Rs 12.40 lakh and Rs 14.40 lakh respectively.
Basic model sold out
Previously, the Czech automaker revealed that the first batch of Skoda Kylaq sales will be 33,000 units and will be delivered in May 2025. The entry-level Classic model of the SUV is sold out and the company has stopped taking reservations. Temporarily. Bookings for the Classic interior will reopen after the first deliveries. Production starts
Production of the new sub-4 meter SUV started recently at Skoda’s Chakan manufacturing plant in Pune. This is the brand’s fifth model based on the highly localized MQB-A0-IN platform. SAVWIPL said production capacity at the Chakan plant has been increased by 30% to 255,000 units per year. To improve customer support, the automaker is aggressively expanding its nationwide sales and service network. Special package for first time customers
Skoda is offering a special maintenance package to the first 33,333 customers of the Kylaq compact SUV. With this package, the running cost of the vehicle will be reduced to Rs 0.24/km. Buyers will also get a standard 3-year/1,00,000-km warranty on the SUV.
