Skoda Kylaq tested ahead of world premiere; show

New spy shots of the upcoming Skoda Kylaq have surfaced online, giving us a glimpse of the side and rear of the SUV. The unit is available with either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed torque converter. As part of Skoda’s strategy, the new SUV will be based on the MQB A0-IN platform, which also underpins cars such as the Slavia, Taigun and Kushaq.

The Skoda Kylaq is likely to be priced between Rs 8 lakh and Rs 14 lakh (both ex-showroom). It will compete with Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor, Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Mahindra XUV 3XO and Hyundai Venue.
