ŠKODA AUTO has globally launched the new Sportline model of the fourth-generation Superb, which features a sportier aesthetic, enhanced chassis dynamics and a host of new features.
Sleeker design and more powerful stance
The ŠKODA Superb Sportline is available in two body styles: Sedan (hatchback) and Estate (hatchback). It stands out with a series of black exterior elements, including the radiator grille frame, window frames and the ŠKODA logo on the rear. Gloss black mirror caps, the Sportline logo on the front fenders and 18-inch (standard) or 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels further enhance its aggressive appearance. The Sedan version features a black stripe on the tailgate diffuser, while the Estate version has black roof rails.
Performance-oriented chassis and powertrain
The Sportline models sit 15mm lower than the standard Superb range, thanks to a sports-tuned chassis. For those seeking an even more dynamic driving experience, Dynamic Chassis Control is an optional extra.
Under the bonnet, the Superb Sportline is powered by a 265bhp 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine, ensuring a spirited driving experience to match its sporty design.
High-end interior with a sporty feel
Inside, the Superb Sportline features an all-black theme, including faux leather upholstery, roof lining and imitation carbon fibre trim elements on the dashboard and door cards. The cabin also features heated sports seats with integrated headrests, massage function and manually adjustable thigh support. For those who want more features, the optional Suite Sport Design Selection adds AGR-certified ergonomic sports seats with heating, ventilation and massage functions. Other interior highlights include stainless steel pedals, ambient lighting, a 3-spoke sports steering wheel with the Skoda logo and a 13.0-inch infotainment system.
Market positioning and availability
The second-generation Skoda Superb re-entered the Indian market as a fully imported model in April 2024. Priced at Rs 5.40 lakh (ex-showroom), the L&K trim is the only option available. While the Sportline trim was previously offered on the third-generation Superb, it was discontinued due to the implementation of BS6 Stage II emission regulations.
