It turns out that AMG’s excellent 4.0 -liter twin -turbo V8 is suitable for plug -in hybrid C63 engine compartment

- Vuk Manufaktur spent two years to create the C63 S that Mercedes-AMG should be built.
- Standard plug -in hybrids may have more motivation, but cannot match the sound of V8.
- There is no news about whether the Austrian company plans to sell V8 conversion to customers.
The new Mercedes-AMG C63 S has a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder plug-in hybrid vehicle, which is not the same as its former V8 drive. Of course, the super car is equipped with 671 HP, but without any motivation to convince some people to buy such a large car with a 4 -cylinder engine. A Austrian company now has answers.
In the past two years, VUK Manufaktur has been working hard to develop and build the V8 drive W206 C63 that all of us has been waiting for. This work has ended, it sounds like AMG should do first.

There are few details about engine exchange, although this is not easy. The four -cylinder power assembly has been demolished and all plug -in hybrid parts, such as the trio of the motor. VUK has not specified the installed AMG V8, but it looks like a 4.0 -liter twin -turbo V8 found in a large number of AMG models. Seven -speed automatic transmission may have been installed next to the new V8.
Although the new plug -in hybrid C63 S can easily defeat its predecessor, it cannot match their driving experience. Yes, there are some four -cylinder engines that sound good, but no matter what title and exhaust you use, there is no way to make a primitive or visceral sound like V8. VUK’s creation sounds like the old C63 beast, making it a suitable AMG car.
There is no doubt that VUK plans to sell these V8 conversion, but this project is at least showing that it is feasible to put the 4.0 -liter power assembly into the new C63. Is this very time -consuming and expensive? You dare to bet.
