UK-based same-day delivery and logistics company Speedy Freight has significantly expanded its footprint in the US market with a new headquarters and 50,000 sq. ft. warehouse in Irving, Texas. This $1.5 million strategic investment places the company at the center of U.S. logistics, close to Dallas-Fort Worth Airport, a key hub for the global supply chain.
The Dallas facility will serve as Speedy Freight’s U.S. headquarters and training academy, offering state-of-the-art training programs certified to ISO 9001, 14001 and 27001 standards. This marks a key step in the company’s mission to become a leader in logistics brokerage and franchising, focused on delivering tailor-made, high-quality logistics solutions.
Promote U.S. market expansion
Speedy Freight’s U.S. operations aim to capture market share in key services such as full truckload (FTL), less than truckload (LTL), haulage and expedited solutions. Leveraging proprietary in-house technology, the company is dedicated to supporting small and medium-sized businesses with efficient and customizable logistics systems.
In addition to freight services, Speedy Freight provides advanced parcel and fulfillment solutions to meet the needs of specific industries. The company attaches great importance to user-friendly technology and people-centered culture, and is committed to providing reliable and simple logistics solutions to meet the diverse needs of customers.
Strategic growth and future plans
The Dallas headquarters marks a key moment in Speedy Freight’s ambitious U.S. expansion strategy. The company plans to open eight franchise stores across the United States by the end of 2025, with a goal of establishing 60 franchise stores by 2030. This growth will provide a strong support network as a gateway for UK and EU businesses looking to use the Dallas hub to enter the US market.
Speedy Freight President of Operations Kody Slade emphasized the importance of this expansion:
“We are fully committed to our mission of aggressive growth in the United States, and our Dallas headquarters and training academy is an important milestone that allows us to develop specialized logistics solutions that make a real difference to our customers.”
Speedy Freight CEO Mike Smith highlighted the company’s achievements and vision:
“The progress we have made in the U.S. over the past six months reflects the dedication and vision of our team. We are building the systems and support we need to ensure franchise success while establishing ourselves as a leading logistics franchise.”
Targeting a growing market
The U.S. logistics industry is worth $1.27 trillion in 2023 and is expected to grow to $1.62 trillion by 2028. Speedy Freight’s entry comes at a critical time for businesses looking for reliable logistics partners as e-commerce and fulfillment services expand rapidly.
The company’s Dallas headquarters will not only support its U.S. operations but also provide a springboard for international businesses to enter the U.S. market. Speedy Freight was recently shortlisted for the British International Freight Association (BIFA) Freight Services Award, demonstrating its ongoing commitment to quality and training.
As it expands its U.S. operations, Speedy Freight continues to deliver on its promise of seamless, efficient and customer-focused logistics solutions, setting a new benchmark for the industry.
