The new Hyundai Alcazar will compete with the likes of Tata Safari, Mahindra XUV700, MG Hector Plus and even Kia Carens when launched
After launching the facelifted Creta earlier this year, Hyundai is all set to bring similar updates to its 3-row Alcazar. The Alcazar facelift is set to be launched soon and has been in the spotlight for the past few months with multiple spy shots. Now, the car has been unveiled in full in a new TVC starring Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan.
New Hyundai Alcazar interior
The Alcazar is the premium 7-seater version of the Creta and competes with the likes of the MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari and Mahindra XUV700. While the Alcazar cannot match these vehicles in terms of size and road presence, the Alcazar is technologically sophisticated and economical for commuting due to its smaller engine.
The new TVC starring Shah Rukh Khan shows off the new Hyundai Alcazar in all its glory. We can see the exterior design highlights as well as the interior highlights and some noteworthy features. The main highlight of this new TVC is the new Haze Navy dual tone interior colour theme of the Alcazar.
The mist navy blue theme of the Alcazar looks sophisticated and premium compared to the grey interior theme of the Creta facelift. If you are looking for any changes in the interiors of the Creta, it seems that there are no changes. Hyundai might use more premium materials on the Alcazar.
Hyundai has been putting some visual differentiation between the Creta and the Alcazar. The same is true for the Creta facelift and the upcoming Alcazar facelift. On the exterior, we see slightly different fascias and a unique grille design. At the rear, the tail lamps are new with a vertical orientation and a connected design.
The most obvious changes are on the sides, where the Alcazar has a longer wheelbase and sits on larger 18-inch alloy wheels. These alloy wheels feature a new 8-spoke design, making them stand out from the crowd of 5-spoke wheels. One standout feature compared to the Creta (literally) is the taller roof rails, which look very practical.

Hyundai cars are known for offering features and comfort, and packing them into sensible and reasonable trim levels. The same is true for the new Hyundai Alcazar. To start with, we have four main trim levels – Prestige, Platinum, Executive and Signature. There are 7 colors to choose from – Abyss Black Pearl, Atlas White, Fiery Red, Ranger Khaki, Robust Emerald Pearl, Starry Knight, Titan Grey Matte.
Creta’s top configuration includes rear captain’s chairs, electric boss mode for the rear left passenger, electric adjustment of the front passenger seat, driver’s seat welcome and memory function, rear wireless charger and second-row ventilated seats. Other configurations include panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, digital key function, rear sunshade, keyless entry and push-button start, etc., which are also very eye-catching.
In terms of powertrain, there will be no changes and we will get the same 1.5L GDI 160 PS turbocharged petrol engine and the 1.5L 115 PS diesel engine will continue to do its job. The manual and automatic transmission options of the existing Alcazar will also be retained. The prices of the new Hyundai Alcazar are likely to increase. For reference, the outgoing Alcazar was priced between Rs 16.77 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 21.28 lakh (ex-showroom).
