AutoHunter Cinema Presents Three Mercury Cougars have been introduced for three consecutive years, although model year isn’t the only distinguishing feature. One of these was a 427-equipped 1968 GT-E, a one-year-old performance car that was the only (and last) FoMoCo to receive a 427 that year.
The other, a ’69 car with a Cobra Jet, was a giveaway from Car Craft magazine and perfectly captured the culture of the time. Finally, there’s the ’70 Eliminator, which combines top-end performance options with a special black paint, a color not offered on the Eliminator. We acquired these three pieces at the 2024 Scottsdale Barrett-Jackson Auction.
