  • Suzuki Swift Sport ZC33S gets its final version in the Japanese market.
  • It features black exterior trim and a “head gradient” effect on the interior.
  • Production of the farewell special will continue from March to November 2025.

Suzuki has launched the final version of the Swift Sport (ZC33S generation), putting the final spin on one of its favorites. This limited-production model has some special features reserved exclusively for the Japanese market. Despite rumors, the automaker has yet to reveal plans for a new generation of the popular version of the Swift, suggesting that the final version may indeed be the last of its kind.

The Swift Sport ZC33S Final Edition stands out from the standard model with its gloss black grille, unique 17-inch black alloy wheels, red brake calipers, red and black sports badging on the tailgate and special decals on the C-pillar. Apart from these enhancements, it retains the familiar look of the hot hatchback that has been on the road since 2017.

Sophisticated interior

Inside, aluminum inserts on the dashboard, door cards and central tunnel have a “thermal gradient” effect. Other embellishments include “Sport” lettering on the passenger side and “ZC33Spowered by Suzuki” near the gearbox. The final version retains the standard Swift Sport’s bucket seats, aluminum pedals and red stitching for a sportier look.

For those who want to spice things up even further, Suzuki offers a range of optional accessories for the Swift Sport ZC33S Final Edition. These include more pronounced aerodynamic elements, additional decals, headlight accents, fuel caps and more, allowing owners to customize the vehicle to their own taste.

No changes under the hood

The farewell special didn’t introduce any performance or chassis upgrades. Under the hood is a familiar turbocharged 1.4-liter engine producing 138 hp (103 kW / 140 PS) and 170 lb-ft (230 Nm) of torque. This setup is more than adequate for a light city car weighing only 970 kg (2,138 lbs). Power is sent to the front wheels via a six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic transmission.

The Japan-spec Swift Sport’s four-cylinder powertrain is not electrified, unlike its European counterpart, which has been using a detuned mild-hybrid version of the same engine since 2020 to comply with emissions regulations.

Pricing and availability

The Swift Sport ZC33S Final Edition will be produced from March to November 2025. Pricing starts at 2,329,800 yen ($15,200) for the manual version and 2,401,300 yen ($15,600) for the automatic version. Suzuki has announced that production of the standard Swift Sport will end in February 2025, but it will remain alongside the final version until current stock is exhausted.
