Nissan India currently has two products in its product portfolio - Magnite small SUV and the X-Trail three-row SUV. Recently, the automaker launched the Magnite facelift with subtle design changes and feature upgrades. Frank Torres, AMIEO regional unit vice president and Nissan India operations president, revealed that as part of its mid-term plan, the company will launch two mid-size SUVs (one 5-seater and one 7-seater) and a mass-market electric SUV global business strategy. All these new models will be available by the end of 2026. Frank also confirmed that the upcoming Nissan electric car will be an "affordable" model. The company is also exploring hybrid and compressed natural gas technologies for the Indian market. In order to enhance the brand image and showcase advanced Japanese technology, Nissan will also launch some global models in India through the CBU (complete vehicle) route.
