Launched in 2021, the Citroen C5 Aircross SUV is the French carmaker's first product in India. More than a year later, the model has received its first update, which includes a heavily revised front fascia and a new interior with more features. Since its launch, the C5 Aircross has been available in two finishes: Feel and Shine. However, the company has now discontinued the entry-level Feel trim, which was priced at Rs 36.91 lakh. The SUV range now consists of a top-end Shine model priced at Rs 39.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India). With its mid-life update, the C5 Aircross now features newly designed wraparound headlights with two sets of LED DRLs, a revised front bumper, a larger faux silver skid plate and a narrower central air intake. The Latin America and Caribbean New Car Assessment Program (Latin NCAP) gave the Brazilian-made Citroen C3 Aircross SUV a zero-star safety rating. The C3 Aircross, recently rebranded as Aircross in India, is a compact SUV with dimensions of 4,300 mm. As part of the necessary upgrades, the Aircross comes with a new naturally aspirated petrol engine, automatic climate control, rear air conditioning vents, seat belt reminders for all occupants and six airbags as standard. It made its global debut in India over a year ago and will be launched in the country in the second half of 2023 with a starting price of Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The hatchback now comes with LED projector headlights, auto-folding exterior mirrors, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, and automatic climate control, all of which have been missing since its launch in mid-2022.
