MotoGP Barcelona test: Alex Marquez leads the timesheets
MotoGP pre-season testing for 2024 brings big changes, with riders making their debuts with new teams. 2024 World Champion Jorge Martin joins Marco Bezzecchi in Aprilia, while Marc Marquez switches to Ducati factory team with Francesco ·Partner Francesco Bagnaia. Pedro Acosta for Red Bull KTM, Enea Bastianini and Maverick Viñales for Tech3 KTM, and Franco Morbidelli for VR46 , Miguel Oliveira and Jack Miller represent Pramac Yamaha. Rookies Ai Ogura, Fermin Aldeguer and Somkiat Chantra also made their MotoGP debuts representing Trackhouse, Gresini and LCR Honda respectively. Alex Marquez impressed on his Gresini GP24 debut, leading the lap in 1 minute 38.803 seconds despite a collision at Turn 7. Francesco Bagnaia and Fabio Quartararo briefly challenged him, but Marquez regained top spot.
