The owner claimed that a clogged drain hose allowed water to seep into the home. The Volkswagen Tiguan oil consumption lawsuit alleges that owners must constantly add oil to the engine. January 10, 2025 — The Volkswagen Tiguan’s fuel consumption is said to be too high, forcing owners of the 2022-2023 Volkswagen Tiguan SUV to constantly add oil to the engine. Maryland plaintiff Calvin Westlund owns a 2022 Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line Black Edition that allegedly consumes excessive fuel. The plaintiff stated that he took his Tiguan to the dealer on December 10, 2024, and even though it was the fourth or fifth time he had refueled in the past month, the dealer told him this was "normal" . The next day, the VW dealer filled up his Tiguan and began the first phase of VW's fuel consumption test, which is currently underway. The Ford Canada lawsuit alleges that 2019-2020 Ford Fusion PHEVs may catch fire due to a defective battery. December 10, 2024 — Owners of 2019-2020 Fusion plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) are at risk of losing their vehicles due to fire, a Canadian Ford Fusion Energi class action lawsuit alleges. Tesla suspension front link failure investigation concluded
Front link part numbers 1041570-00-A and 1041575-00-A present a risk of failure. August 16, 2024 — An investigation into Tesla’s suspension front links, launched nearly four years ago, has been closed by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration based on Tesla’s actions. In November 2020, NHTSA launched an investigation after receiving 43 complaints about front suspension front link (left and right) failures. The vehicles involved in the investigation include Tesla Model S vehicles from 2015 to 2017 and Tesla Model X vehicles from 2016 to 2017. NHTSA found 426 reports of front link failures involving part numbers 1041570-00-A or 1041575-00-A. No vehicles were reported to have lost control, but one minor accident was reported. Tesla's front-link suspension failures mostly occurred in driveways or parking lots at speeds between 1 and 15 mph, according to safety regulators.
