Designed by joint venture LMN/Page, the cutting-edge facility will seamlessly integrate innovative architecture, sustainability and public art to create a world-class event space in the Austin Center. The new, larger Austin Convention Center will nearly double the rentable square feet of existing facilities, increasing from 365,000 square feet to 620,000 square feet of rentable space. Austin prepares to close convention center
AUSTIN, Texas – On April 1, 2025, the Austin Convention Center will close for four years for a $1.6 billion reconstruction project. The city won't be shutting down for conventions and trade shows, as the city's hotels and convention centers are stepping in to help.
