2024 autoX Awards: The Roma Spider isn't exactly what you'd consider a "performance car of the year." Yes, it has a prancing horse on the hood, but it's more of an elegant cruiser than an out-and-out sports car. Plus, it wasn't that long ago that convertibles were the domain of poseurs, not serious drivers. But, in Rome, Ferrari turned all that around. Yes, it's elegant, and it's very handsome - although I'm not so sure about that perforated front grille - but it's a very serious driver's car. After all, its 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine produces more than 600 horsepower at 7,500 rpm. This makes this car a very lively convertible! It immediately feels like it was built for the track. The revs rise with unparalleled ferocity and a soundtrack to match. No longer just a solid utility vehicle, the Himalayan now has a rather elegant design and a more curvy tank, which gives it the appearance of a large bike. It even comes with LED headlights and a stylish LED flash that complements its modern design. Despite the significant updates, the ergonomics remain unaffected, making it easy to ride whether you're sitting or riding. Of course, it's the same powertrain as the Himalayan, but here, it's been tuned for more powerful performance. 2024 autoX Awards: It may be cut from the same cloth as the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, but the Guerrilla 450 is a completely different animal. While its older ADV was designed for exploring unknown roads and long distances, the Guerrilla is a street fighter for urban environments. Suffice it to say, this is a delightful tool for everyday work. You might think that the Himalayan and Guerrilla are identical in terms of engineering and platform, and while that's true, there are some key differences between the two. 2024 autoX Awards: Look at it. marvelous. Purple! No car has the right to look so beautiful and special in the hue known as "Storm Purple". Yet the Aston Martin DB12 accomplishes this task with aplomb. Shake, but do not stir. So gentle indeed. I'd still put my car in the racing green of Aston's 1959 Le Mans-winning DBR1, but I certainly wouldn't say no to this eggplant either. This is a car that feels expensive – it feels special. Everything in the cabin is wrapped in hand-stitched leather. Now it has a new cabin, which is also state-of-the-art, with a touch screen and a 15-speaker Bowers and Wilkins audio system.
