MSP and DTW launch sustainable aviation fuel

SAF is made from winter camelina, a cold-hardy oilseed crop grown in Minnesota and North Dakota, and is part of Delta's partnership with the Minnesota SAF hub alliance. U.S. air traffic controller shortage brings aviation industry to a standstill
The ongoing shortage of air traffic controllers (ATCs) in the United States is hampering the growth of commercial aviation and has a knock-on effect on the air cargo industry. The airline reported delays, cancellations, extended flight times and extended taxi slots on nearly half of the days in November. The root of the problem is air traffic control staffing, which last month was 59% below target levels. This shortage is not unique to Newark. It reflects a national crisis.
