Citroen Basalt Coupe SUV launched in India, priced at Rs 7.99 lakh
Just days after its global debut, Citroën India has announced the prices of the Basalt SUV. The model is now on sale at an ex-showroom price of Rs 7.99 lakh. This introductory price is applicable for bookings made before the end of October. In terms of dimensions, the vehicle has a wheelbase of 2,651 mm and a trunk space of 470 litres. In addition to two dual-tone options (white and red paint with a contrasting black roof), the Basalt is also available in five single-tone options: Polar White, Steel Grey, Platinum Grey, Cosmic Blue and Garnet Red. In the Indian market, the Basalt will compete with the Tata Curvv. Other mid-size SUV rivals include the Hyundai Creta, Honda Elevate, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Kia Seltos and MG Astor. Citroen Basalt Coupe SUV to be launched in India on August 9
Citroën will launch the new Basalt coupe SUV in India on August 9. When launched, the Citroën Basalt will be the company's fourth model launched in India under the C-Cubed plan and will compete with the upcoming Tata Curvv coupe SUV in the mass-market SUV segment. The latter will be launched on September 2, 2024. The Citroën Basalt is based on the same Stellantis Smart Car platform as the C3 and C3 Aircross, and looks very similar to the C3 Aircross from the front. But from the side it looks very different, with new alloy wheels and a sloping roofline that extends all the way to the boot lid and merges into the wide tailgate. At the rear, the model features wraparound LED taillights, a silver skid plate and a two-tone bumper. The Basalt is also similar in size to the C3 Aircross, measuring around 4,300mm in length. French automaker Citroën has launched its fifth model in India, the Basalt Coupe SUV. The company has previously teased the car several times, detailing its exterior design, interior layout and features. The Basalt will directly compete with the recently launched Tata Curvv and is the fourth model in Citroën's C-Cubed range, joining the C3 and eC3 hatchbacks and the C3 Aircross SUV. The Basalt is available in two dual-tone and five single-tone colours: Pomegranate Red with Perla Nera Black Roof, Polar White with Steel Grey Roof, Platinum Grey, Cosmic Blue and Pomegranate Red.
