Utah’s July Spectacular highlights philanthropy and car culture
Like many small towns, Cedar City in southern Utah has a tight-knit summer tradition. One of the main events held here each year is the July Scout Jamboree. This year's event was open to families, pets, vendors and visitors from all over. In total, about 350 cars and 15,000 people attended the event, supporting the charitable and humanitarian efforts of the local Rotary Club. July Jamboree background Nicknamed "Festival City" for its popularity in the film festival world, Cedar City has a population of approximately 39,000. Located at an elevation of 5,800 feet and surrounded by the Dixie National Forest, Cedar City is a cool getaway from the desert landscape of the Southwest.
