Maruti Suzuki cars production crosses Rs 1 crore milestone
Maruti Suzuki India recently announced that its Manesar plant has reached the Rs 1,000-crore cumulative production milestone in just 18 years of operations. The popular Maruti Suzuki Brezza was the last model launched from the factory. For the uninitiated, Maruti Suzuki's Manesar manufacturing plant is spread over 600 acres and started operations in October 2006. The plant produces a variety of cars including Brezza, Ertiga, XL6, Ciaz, WagonR, S-Presso, Dzire and Celerio. In addition to the domestic market, the plant in the Indian state of Haryana also produces vehicles for export to regions such as Latin America, the Middle East and Africa.
