Maruti Suzuki has announced that the production of Dzire, one of India's best-selling sedans, has crossed the 3 million unit milestone. The sedan was first launched in 2008 and has become a cornerstone of the automaker's lineup. It achieved its first 100,000-unit production mark in 2015, doubled that by 2019, and continues to dominate the segment. This milestone coincides with the recent arrival of the new Dzire, marking a new chapter in its success story. Dzire has also gained huge traction in the global market and has exported around 260,000 units to 48 countries since 2008. Maruti Suzuki India recently announced that its Manesar plant has reached the Rs 1,000-crore cumulative production milestone in just 18 years of operations. The popular Maruti Suzuki Brezza was the last model launched from the factory. For the uninitiated, Maruti Suzuki's Manesar manufacturing plant is spread over 600 acres and started operations in October 2006. The plant produces a variety of cars including Brezza, Ertiga, XL6, Ciaz, WagonR, S-Presso, Dzire and Celerio.
