Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid SUV recalled due to braking difficulties
The brake pedal of approximately 51,000 Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrids may be difficult to depress when turning. September 21, 2024 — Toyota is recalling certain 2023-2024 Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid SUVs because the brake pedal may be difficult to depress when turning. About 51,000 vehicles are being recalled, including about 42,000 in the United States and 5,600 in Canada. The recalled Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrids were manufactured between June 2022 and September 2024 and may take longer to stop once the brake pedal becomes difficult to depress. Toyota released no details about the recall, other than to say dealers will update the programming of the brake actuator's anti-skid control ECU software.
