The future of STL, the Armory, an entertainment venue in downtown St. Louis, is uncertain. On Wednesday, Armory STL announced it was closing "temporarily" due to financial difficulties. The announcement was made via a press release shared on the venue's Facebook page, but did not specify when the venue would reopen. The closing marks another setback for Armory developer Green Street St. Louis, which has faced mounting financial and legal problems of late. St. Louis, home to the historic 1938 Missouri National Guard Armory Building on Green Street, launched the Armory STL in December 2022. Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid SUV recalled due to braking difficulties
The brake pedal of approximately 51,000 Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrids may be difficult to depress when turning. September 21, 2024 — Toyota is recalling certain 2023-2024 Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid SUVs because the brake pedal may be difficult to depress when turning. About 51,000 vehicles are being recalled, including about 42,000 in the United States and 5,600 in Canada. The recalled Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrids were manufactured between June 2022 and September 2024 and may take longer to stop once the brake pedal becomes difficult to depress. Toyota released no details about the recall, other than to say dealers will update the programming of the brake actuator's anti-skid control ECU software. Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid recall letters will be mailed by the end of November 2024. Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid owners can call 800-331-4331.
