Nearly 300,000 Ford trucks are equipped with Bosch CP4 RP7 fuel pumps that can fail. January 3, 2025 — Nearly 300,000 Ford trucks are being recalled because of a possible failure of high-pressure fuel pumps. Trucks recalled by Ford include: 2020-2022 Ford F-250, F-350, F-450, F-550 and F-600 Super Duty trucks, and 2021-2022 Ford F-650 and F-750 trucks . “Biodiesel deposits may form on the pump drive train roller assembly, which may cause high-pressure fuel pump failure.” — Ford Wear on pump components can also lead to metal debris in the fuel system. Once the fuel pump fails, the truck won't be able to go anywhere on its own. In September 2021, Ford engineers noticed an increase in warranty reports of Bosch CP4 RP7 fuel pump failures in trucks equipped with the 6.7L Scorpion diesel engine. The F-250 and F-350 have eliminated the Limited trim level, but now have a new Platinum Plus trim level and a host of other improvements. Ford has unveiled the 2025 F-Series Super Duty with changes to styling, equipment, and trim. The top-of-the-line Limited has apparently been phased out, replaced by the new Platinum Plus model. Prices for the F-250 and F-350 increased by $330 and $580, respectively. Ford has opened orders for the 2025 Ford F-Series Super Duty. The F-250 starts at $45,300, while the F-350 starts at $46,595. These are price increases of $330 and $580, respectively. While the price increase is unwelcome, the F-250 is priced lower than the 2025 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD.
