Revolt Motors has announced plans to launch a new electric motorcycle in India on September 17, 2024. The company currently sells the RV400 and RV400 BRZ in India. With the launch of this electric bike, Revolt hopes to expand its product line-up in India. While the exact details of the new Revolt motorcycle are yet to be revealed, the company is expected to position it above the RV400. If that is the case, the upcoming motorcycle will have a more powerful engine and a larger battery than the RV400. For your reference, the latter comes with a 3.2kWh lithium-ion swappable battery, which is located inside the fuel tank. The battery delivers power to a 3kW mid-drive motor that produces 170Nm of peak torque. The power is transmitted to the rear wheel via a sprocket belt drive. Ather Energy recently filed a draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for an initial public offering (IPO) of Rs 3,100 crore.
