One In Four Tesla Model 3s Fail Safety Inspections In Denmark
One quarter of Tesla Model 3S failed security check

Denmark's vehicle inspector finds MY2020 Model 3 has three times the malfunction of its rival EV go through Chris Chilton March 8, 2025 14:18 Last year, about 23% of the MY2020 Tesla Model 3 failed to undergo mandatory safety testing. Vehicle inspectors recorded 1,392 defects – triple the number found on other electric vehicles. Lighting, braking, steering and suspension issues are often found. Electric cars have fewer moving parts than burning cars, so the probability of error should theoretically be less likely, but Tesla's Model 3 seems to be turning that logic to its head. That's because one out of every four examples of electric sedan failed safety tests last year. The MY2020 Model 3 is old enough to require inspections of the Danish Road Traffic Authority in 2024, and of the 4,668 tests, 1,051 failed. This is 23% of the failure rate, compared to the 9% witnessed in the competitor EV, the Federation of Danish Motorists (FDM) Report. More:…

Ford Mustang Slams Into Crowd After Failed Drift On Icy Lot
Ford Mustang crashes into crowd after failed drift on icy field

Showing off in slippery conditions with everyone around you in a Mustang - what could possibly go wrong? go through Brad Anderson January 18, 2025 21:00 The Mustang's tires failed to grip the snow-covered parking lot, causing a chaotic crash. It was unclear whether any spectators were seriously injured in the shocking collision. In another incident, a Mustang driver lost control in front of a truck and fell into a ditch. Unless you're driving a rally car or at a specialized winter racing school, it's a bad idea to attempt a power slide on icy roads. Losing control and crashing are almost inevitable. It seems the driver of a particular Ford Mustang (who would have thought?) in the US didn't have the wherewithal to realize this and ended up plowing into the crowd. The entire scene was captured on video. It's unclear exactly where in the United States the accident occurred, but it appears to have occurred recently during a…

Lawsuit says Ford backup camera recall program failed

Included are the 2020-2023 Ford Explorer, 2020-2023 Lincoln Aviator, and 2020-2022 Lincoln Corsair. August 18, 2024 — Ford's backup camera recall allegedly failed to do what a recall should have done: fix the vehicles. That's the focus of Ford's class-action lawsuit, which alleges that the backup camera system fails to display a rear-view image when the vehicle is in reverse. Instead, the backup camera display will appear blue, black, or blank. Photos of the blue display were provided by the owner who filed the lawsuit. The class action lawsuit involves 2020 to 2023 Ford Explorers, 2020 to 2023 Lincoln Aviators and 2020 to 2022 Lincoln Corsairs equipped with 360-degree camera systems. According to the lawsuit, the 360-degree camera system was offered as an additional upgrade for an additional fee. Not only does the camera system function as a backup camera (which is required by federal law), but the 360-degree version also allows the driver to see all around the vehicle.…

New Jersey class action lawsuit alleges 360-degree camera system recall failed, 3 of them. These defects cause the backup camera to malfunction, with the image appearing blue, black or blank. The Ford class action lawsuit includes: “Everyone who purchased or leased one or more of the following vehicles equipped with a 360-degree camera system in New Jersey during the applicable restricted period: a 2020-2023 Ford Explorer, a 2020-2023 Lincoln Aviator, and/or a 2020-2022 Lincoln Corsair.” Ford allegedly knew or should have known about the flaws in the 360-degree camera systems before the vehicles were first advertised. The backup camera class action lawsuit, filed by Gabriel Shiff and Robert Sonsini, alleges that the 360-degree camera recall failed to…

Mercedes-Benz brake booster recall failed, lawsuit filed

Mercedes brake booster recall could take two years to fix vehicles, class action lawsuit says July 12, 2024 — A Mercedes-Benz brake booster recall is said to have done nothing to fix 2004 to 2015 Mercedes ML-Class, GL-Class and R-Class vehicles.
