Ford backup camera recall affects Flex, Fiesta, Lincoln
More than 30,000 cars have been recalled after issues with rearview camera images. January 5, 2025 — A problem with Ford's backup cameras has resulted in the recall of more than 30,000 2019 Ford Flex, 2019 Ford Fiesta and 2019 Lincoln MKT vehicles. Ford has discovered that the rearview camera image is distorted, upside down, or the display is blank. Ford engineers haven't determined the exact root cause of the problem, but believe the problem may lie in the camera. “The root cause has not been confirmed and remains under investigation, but teardown analysis of returned camera samples revealed a broken solder joint between the microcontroller and PCB.” — Ford NHTSA contacted Ford in August 2024 regarding 24 complaints about issues with the backup camera on the 2019 Ford Flex. 2024 Kia Carnival deliveries start in India, cricketer
Earlier this month, Kia launched the new-generation Carnival with prices starting at Rs 63.90 lakh, ex-showroom. This marks an increase of nearly Rs 30 lakh compared to the previous model. The previous version was a fully imported CBU model, while the 2024 Carnival is a locally assembled CKD model. The upgraded version of the high-end MPV opened for reservations on September 16. In just 24 hours, the number of reservations for the vehicle exceeded 1,822 units, setting a new record. Kia models are available in two colors: Fusion Black and Glacier White Pearl. Meanwhile, the carmaker has now started deliveries of the luxury MPV in India, with former cricketer Suresh Raina being the first customer to take delivery of the vehicle.
