Originally from New Mexico, this classic SUV was purchased in 2016 and then underwent a 4.5-year teardown restoration where every number-matching part and accessory was removed and rebuilt. The bodywork requires no filler, and the yellowed plastic drip rails are replaced with stainless steel units. In addition to using POR-15 products to repair frame and chassis components, all rubber components, weather stripping and hoses were replaced with OEM or aircraft grade materials. Interior updates include new door lock actuators, power window motors, under-dash access, and sound deadening materials. The engine bay, drivetrain and suspension systems were completely rebuilt, and custom leaf springs were installed along with new stainless steel brake and transmission lines.
