Jaguar recalls 2019 I-PACE again due to battery fires
About 2,800 Jaguar I-PACE SUVs have been recalled, but vehicles continue to catch fire. August 30, 2024 — Jaguar is recalling its 2019 Jaguar I-PACE SUVs due to overheating of the high-voltage battery, which could lead to fires. Nearly 2,800 2019 all-electric I-PACE vehicles are being recalled, with owners warned to park and charge their SUVs outdoors, away from objects that could catch fire. The warning applies before the I-PACE SUV is serviced by a dealer and for 30 days after service. The 2019 Jaguar I-PACE SUV was recalled in the past due to the same battery fire risk. In May 2023, Jaguar's 2019-2024 I-PACE vehicles were recalled after eight battery fires were reported.
