of all americans Among the high-performance cars of the 1980s, the Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z was one of the coolest cars, even though it still seems to have its share of jokes. The fact that I grew up during that time period does tend to predispose me to comments like this, but in the 1980s, Chevy sold thousands of IROCs to people 10 years older than me, and they all loved the car. IROC is so 1980s and RadWood that when you look at one of these you can almost hear Ratt's "Round and Round" on the stereo. Furthermore, the Camaro IROC-Z is a pretty serious performance car that announces to the world that American performance cars are back and here to stay. Heck, some of the world's most famous racers drive IROC-Zs on the circuits of the International Championship Series, the series from which the cars are named.
