Several major carmakers including Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai and Kia will increase the pricing of their cars from January 2025. Skoda India has also joined the pack, with the cost of cars like Slavia, Kushaq and Kodiaq increasing by 3% starting next month. Similar to many other automakers, the price increase is due to rising input costs and total operating expenses. However, it is worth noting that the recently launched Kylaq will not participate in the price increase until its pre-orders exceed 33,333 units. Buyers can currently purchase the SUV at introductory prices (Rs 7.89 lakh to Rs 14.40 lakh, ex-showroom). For reference, the Kodiaq is priced at Rs 39.99 lakh, while the Kushaq is priced at Rs 10.89 lakh. On the other hand, the Slavia retails at Rs 10.69 lakh. These are starting and ex-showroom prices.
