Some Toyota RAV4 owners in the U.S. may be eligible for $75 million in damages. At the same time, the attorneys involved in the case will receive $13,250,000 in legal fees and $350,000 in expenses. Arizona files lawsuit over Ram 2500 and 3500 diesel vehicles
Arizona's attorney general filed a lawsuit alleging that Ram trucks were equipped with illegal emissions devices. July 20, 2024 — Arizona's attorney general has filed a lawsuit against Fiat Chrysler and engine maker Cummins, accusing the companies of selling illegal Ram 2500 and Ram 3500 diesel trucks to more than 23,600 Arizona residents. Attorney General Kris Mayes alleges that Ram 2500 and Ram 3500 trucks built from 2013 to 2019 were equipped with 6.7-liter engines and had illegal emissions suppression devices installed. The attorney general claims that Ram diesel trucks were falsely marketed as “super clean” and environmentally friendly, with extremely low emissions. According to the Arizona lawsuit, consumers were duped into buying Ram trucks that were purportedly more powerful and efficient than gasoline-powered trucks. Ram truck owners in Arizona are allegedly paying top dollar for vehicles that harm the environment and are not legal to sell.
