Honda City CVT Long-term Review – First Report

Honda City Fourth and Fifth Generations We recently added Honda City’s Facelift to the long-term fleet and I’m excited to get into the steering wheel of the Obsidian Blue sedan with a CVT transmission. From my daily driver - the Great Barbaric Tata Safari Storme 4×4 tons - It's a refreshing change, especially in the hustle and bustle of the national capital. Time is perfect, considering my BS4 diesel safari is limited in severe AQI conditions in winter (super annoying!). I also have a 2014 Honda City Gasoline MT in my garage, so I'll make a lot of comparisons between the two in this report. I was immediately impressed by the style of the fifth generation city. It looks rich and with a makeover, it has a youthful appeal thanks to the bumper and revised grille. This special shade of blue further enhances its premium appearance. Park the large barbarian safari when AQI rises in Delhi The remote start button…

Even after a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, global shipping companies remain hesitant to return to Red Sea trade routes as ongoing security concerns over attacks by Houthi rebels in Yemen remain. A blackboard with a quote that says "Always keep in mind the long term value of trade show leads."
Take a long-term view of potential customers – trade shows

Weekly Insight: Take a long-term view of prospects November 10, 2023 A common misconception among exhibitors is that trade show owners must become customers within 30 days (or some other random timeline) for their exhibit investment to be worthwhile. So don't lose them in the process! The key is to develop a strategy for nurturing leads throughout the process. Don’t think of them as “prospects,” think of them as “future friends and clients” and let that guide your follow-up system. Wondering where to start? Tata Tiago EV Long Term - 7
Tata Tiago EV Long-term Review – Second Report

Tata Tiago.EV has long been the most efficientAfter Parth's first two months with the Tata Tiago EV, I had the opportunity to make my life more comfortable and affordable with the Tiago EV for the next two months. I mostly ride a motorcycle to get around or occasionally take a Tiago diesel out as I have one at home. So, getting used to the new Tiago EV was not a big challenge. The only major challenge was figuring out how to charge the car because, like Parth, I did not have an indoor charger.Fast charging is the best solution for city drivingA full charge costs around ₹400 to ₹530, depending on the public charging rates in Mumbai and Thane. Most of the time, I drain the car to around 10% before recharging. The estimated range varies dynamically based on my driving style, and engaging the Sport mode reduces the range by about 5-6%. The range also varies based on air…

Maruti Suzuki Fronx Long Term Report August 2024
Maruti Suzuki Fronx long-term review, August 2024 report

After about 17,000 km of companionship, it was time to say goodbye to our trusted long-term vehicle – the Maruti Suzuki Fronx. The moment has finally come! After around 17,000 kms, it’s time to say goodbye to our trusted long-term vehicle – the Maruti Suzuki Fronx. During the time it spent with us – 13 months to be exact – the car has held a special place in not only my heart but also in the hearts of my colleagues and those around me. The car has been back for a few days as I write this, and it wasn’t until the last day that I realised how much a piece of metal, rubber and cables can mean to you if you spend enough time with it. The kind gentleman who was responsible for keeping our favourite filming support vehicle clean on a daily basis started to think that maybe I had owned it and couldn’t stand the thought of…

MG Comet Long Term Report August 2024
MG Comet EV long-term review, August 2024 report

MG told us they needed our bright apple green Comet and offered to replace it with another model. This white model, with a more understated look, is now part of our fleet. Regular readers of our magazine (we love you guys) might have noticed that our long-term MG Comet looked different this month. I can assure you that the EV's paintwork has not faded due to the recent monsoon rains. In fact, our review unit was replaced with another one. MG told us they needed our bright apple green Comet and offered to replace it with another model. This white model is much more understated and is now part of our fleet. But it brought not only a new color, but also new problems. It is noticeably noisier than our previous car. This is especially noticeable when you are driving on a flat road with no distractions. Add to that the noticeable vibrations in the steering wheel and brake pedal,…

Royal Enfield Himalayan Long Term Report August 2024
Royal Enfield Himalayan Long-Term Review, August 2024 Report

You see, I recently developed a new obsession that is more serious (and more expensive) than any other obsession I’ve ever had – off-roading. Well, long-time fans among us would know how coveted the Royal Enfield Himalayan is in our fleet. The keys to this plucky goat have been passed around since its arrival, and now that they have landed in my hands, I’m not giving them back if I have my way. At least, not anytime soon, and not without a fight (read: begging and pleading). You see, I've recently gotten back into off-roading, and with something a lot more serious (and expensive) than my previous off-roading obsession. The Himalayan did not disappoint. Last month, I took this bike for my first real trip into the backcountry for our exciting DesertX and Himalayan off-roading event. From the moment I took it out on gravel and sand, it proved its mettle as a capable, hardcore adventure bike. It's light, well-balanced,…

Honda Elevate Long Term Report August 2024
Honda Elevate long-term review, August 2024 report

For Honda fans in India, the Elevate is one of the company’s much-awaited new products. Honestly, Honda did take too long to join the SUV bandwagon, but then again, the Japanese company always does a very thorough research before developing a new product or entering a new segment. Despite the delay, the Elevate has proven to be a hit, boosting the company’s sales in India and in the export market. Our long-term Elevate was finished in a striking Phoenix Orange color with a contrasting black roof, ensuring excellent road presence. The interior is finished in a nice brown, and I particularly appreciated the streamlined, simple dashboard layout. Although I drove the Elevate when it debuted, spending more time with the car would provide a better understanding of how it performs in a variety of conditions, allowing for a more comprehensive assessment of its strengths and weaknesses. My first impression is that the Elevate is a solid product. It offers a…
