Tata Motors’ total domestic passenger vehicle sales fell 3% year-on-year
Tata Motors saw a decline in sales across multiple categories in August 2024. Last month, the company sold a total of 71,693 vehicles (domestic and international), which is much lower than the 78,010 units it sold last year. Of the total sales, the company delivered 70,006 vehicles in the domestic market, which is 8% lower year-on-year from the 76,261 units sold in August 2023. Talking about passenger cars, the manufacturer supplied 44,142 units domestically and 44,486 units overall, both down 3% year-on-year. In August this year, the company sold 5,935 electric vehicles, which is 5% less than the 6,236 electric vehicles it sold last year.
