The MPI Academy continues to grow, with active participation and satisfaction from the entire industry in its four main activities. According to data released by IMEX America 2024 earlier this month, attendees reported a 90% satisfaction rate with education at IMEX America EMEC92% satisfaction World Endurance Championship100% satisfied Thought Leadership Summit and 99% satisfaction event. MPI's Global Meetings Industry Day was once again a success, with 3,836 people registered and a total of 283,230 minutes of education gained, or approximately 2.5 hours per person. The role of planners is changing, like a race car racing around a track. MPI provides support to members affected by Hurricane Helene
In response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene, Meeting Professionals International (MPI), the world's largest association of meeting and event professionals, has taken action to provide support to members facing financial hardship. MPI provides One year membership subsidy through its MPI Member Hardship Programin partnership with the MPI Foundation. Members affected by the storm, which resulted in severe flooding, mudslides and power outages, can request support at: mpi.org/hurricane. With more than 600 members potentially affected, those in need can apply for support using the website, which provides details outlining criteria to ensure support is provided to those who need it most. The plan includes a six-month extension of membership, with the remaining six months being covered by the MPI Foundation to ensure continued access to its resources and educational services. MPI’s EMEC 2025 heads to Istanbul
MPI has announced that its 2025 European Meetings and Events Congress (EMEC) will travel to Istanbul, Turkey, for the first time in a decade. Meeting Professionals International (MPI) will host the European Meetings and Events Congress 2025 (EMEC 2025) in Istanbul, Turkey, from February 22 to 25. This is the first time since 2014 that EMEC is held in Istanbul. MPI has 13,000 members worldwide, 1,000 of whom are from Europe, the Middle East and Asia (EMEA) - the campaign's target audience.
