Specifically, owners complained about the flexible steel seatbelt anchor cables on the outside of the front seats coming off. The vehicles were supposed to be repaired under a 2014 GM seatbelt recall, but NHTSA launched a recall investigation in 2019 after owners continued to complain about seatbelt issues.
