Skoda Octavia RS and new Kodiaq to debut in Bharat
Skoda Auto India plans to launch two major products at the Bharat Mobile Expo 2025 - the new Skoda Octavia RS and the new Kodiaq SUV. The Auto Expo will be held in Delhi from January 17 to 22. While the new Skoda Kodiaq may go on sale in the second quarter of 2025 (i.e. April to June), there is no official news about the launch of the Octavia RS. According to the latest media reports, the performance-oriented Octavia RS will be put on display to gauge customer response, which may be followed by a limited launch. I have fond memories of the Octavia vRS, the reason being that my best friend bought one in 2003, when it was one of the few affordable high-performance cars you could buy. For a young lad barely out of his teenage years, this 150bhp turbocharged monster, beefy suspension, big wheels and great handling was a revelation and a learning experience on how to drive a fast car.
