They arrived in the city during a historic heat wave, with temperatures reaching 120 degrees Fahrenheit a few days earlier. In reporting on the upcoming virtual battle, the gaming news site EventHubs specifically reminded those attending the event, which will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center from July 19 to 21, that extreme heat could pose a very real danger to them.
