Ola Electric is a dominant force in the electric two-wheeler space and the company continues to innovate with the upcoming launch of its Gen 3 platform. Following the recent launch of its electric motorcycle in India, Ola has unveiled this new platform which promises to bring significant improvements to its future battery-powered scooters. The Gen 3 platform is designed to deliver 26% higher performance and 22.5% lower cost than its predecessor, Gen 2. This is achieved through Ola's 'Inside the Box' philosophy, where the battery, motor and electronics are integrated into a single unit with the battery as a structural element. Ola launches Roadster range of electric motorcycles in India

Nearly two months ago, Ola Electric said it would launch its first electric motorcycle in the first half of fiscal 2026. Subsequently, Ola released several teasers. Fast forward to today, Ola has launched its Roadster series at its flagship event Sankalp 2024. Ola Electric, India's first listed electric vehicle company and the world's largest two-wheeler electric vehicle company, has officially announced its foray into the mass and premium segments. Last August, Ola showcased its four futuristic electric motorcycle concepts: Adventure, Roadster, Cruiser and the futuristic-looking Diamondhead. Based on the Roadster concept previewed in 2023, the Roadster range uses an advanced Gen 3 platform and uses 4680 format batteries made in India, known as BharatCell. Pricing for the Roadster range (which includes Roadster, Pro and X) starts at Rs 75,000 for the 2.5kWh Roadster X model and goes up to Rs 250,000 for the top-of-the-line 16kWh Roadster Pro model. Ola Electric is gearing up for its debut in the electric motorcycle industry. The brand has confirmed that several new products, including the much-anticipated electric motorcycle, will hit the Indian market on August 15. CEO Bhavish Aggarwal shared the first teaser of the model, giving a sneak peek at the motorcycle's design language, including twin-pod LED headlights and unique rear-view mirrors.
