JD Event Announces Sale to Emerald a Plant-Based World
Fairfield, Connecticut - Probably artificial meat, but the popularity of plant-based proteins is real. From 2024 to 2030, the global industry is expected to grow at a CAGR of 19.4%, worth approximately US$24.7 billion. This progress inspired the JD Event (JDE) to sell the Organizer Plant-based World (PBW) to Emerald. JDE launched PBW in 2019, when the global industry was worth approximately $3.4 billion. Its B2B activities include the Plant-Based World Expo North America and Plant-Based World Expo Europe, as well as the digital news platform PBW Pulse connects the industry’s global supply network and helps them develop, source and distribute products. According to JDE’s founder Joel Davis, the brand surpassed JDE’s bandwidth as the plant industry flourished rapidly, driving the decision to sell.
