The Mazda6 is the latest victim of Australian Design Rule 98/00 regarding ADAS. This aging model has entered its twilight years and has been discontinued from most markets. Mazda Australia has secured "healthy supply" across all grades of product at local dealers. Mazda has announced it will officially phase out the Mazda6 sedan and wagon from the Australian market, citing compliance issues with upcoming regulations, a move that echoes Mitsubishi's recent decision to ax three of its five models for similar reasons echo.
