The shortage has impacted industries across the U.S., causing delays, increased costs and complicated logistics for companies transporting materials to and from the show site. The U.S. trucking industry was valued at $732.3 billion in 2020, but is struggling to meet growing demand. The truck driver shortage will reach 80,500 in 2022 and is expected to climb to 162,000 by 2030, creating serious obstacles for the trade show industry.
