Tesla Model X SUV recalled again due to interior parts falling off
Tesla is recalling 9,500 2016 Model X vehicles, following a previous recall in 2020. August 25, 2024 — Tesla is recalling about 9,500 Model X SUVs, which were first recalled in 2020, because of problems with the front and center roof trim. Tesla said the lack of primer could cause the interior to peel off the vehicle. According to Tesla, there is a decorative decal on the front of the Model X roof behind the windshield, called the front decal. There is also a decal between the center of the roof and the upper falcon wing door roof glass, called the spine decal. Both decals are adhered to the Model X using polyurethane, but the lack of primer results in a weak bond, causing the decals to fall off the Tesla.
